BLAH General Meeting Jan. 30th, 2009

Location: SFU Burnaby, Rotunda

1. Biz Challenge

• Every Wednesday from 1:30 – 3:30PM
• This Wednesday will be indoor soccer
• Next Wednesday will be basketball

2. Hip Hop with Amanda

• Will start next week (Week 6)
• Will be held Tuesday form 2:30 – 4:00PM in th atrium in Maggie Benson Centre
• Feel free to drop in anytime during the class

3. Plyometrics with Will

• Twice a week: Tuesdays at 11:30 – 12:30PM and Wednesdays at 3:30 – 4:30PM
• Meet at Central gym by the mats
• Will need to bring good running shoes

5. 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament

• To happen later on in semester – Week 10
• Opportunity to be a project manager opening

6. Indoor Soccer Tournament

• To happen later on in semester – Week 11

8. Stress Management Work Shops

• To happen week 7
• Need project managers for this event

9. The Vancouver Sun Run

• Sunday April 19th 9:00am
• Will cost $35 if register before Feb 6th, or $40 if register later
• DEADLINE to register is March 6th

• When registering select the seed time of 0:45 – 0:48 so that way we can all run in the same group.
• E-mail will be sent out week before Sun Run to organize meeting time and place at Burnaby campus to pick up shirts, bibs, and time chips

• Need at least 10 people to register as a team – get your friends together (even if they don’t go to SFU)
• Will try to get a training group together to run the seawall every Sunday

9. Housekeeping

• Applications for project managers have been emailed
• Have decided to close Business Leisure and Health bank account at Van City – duty of Andrew Kumar and Annie Ma
• Have opened bank account with SFSS instead
