About the Management Information Systems Association

The Management Information Systems Association is a student organization that belongs to the Faculty of Business Administration at Simon Fraser University, British Columbia. There is an elected student executive that is responsible for MISA and a membership list that ranges between three and four-hundred depending on the semester. MISA is one of the most active clubs on campus, with a strong emphasis on not only professional development but also having fun.

MISA works mostly within the SFU Business Administration student body. We've been responsible for many successful campus events in the past and we're always thinking of new ideas!

Our key objectives are to:

  • Offer relevant and rewarding MIS-related programs and events to all members of the SFU community.
  • Enhance and develop the skill set of its members.
  • Promote the study of Management Information Systems at SFU.
  • Initiate and maintain fellowship between MIS students at SFU.
  • Provide contacts with the business community and assist in job search and career direction.
  • Enhance the SFU Business Administration program.
  • Enjoy what we do and do what we enjoy.
