MARKETERS' NIGHT 2009
Simon Fraser University Student Marketing Association (SMA) proudly invites you to their 20th Annual Marketers' Night!
Now in its twentieth consecutive year, Marketers' Night is SMA's largest and most anticipated event of the year. This tremendously successful event has provided the opportunity for members of the BC business community and marketing students to meet and interact in an informal environment. It allows the marketers of today to meet with the marketers of tomorrow.
We encourage you to attend this fantastic evening, which has become one of the biggest annual student-run events in the Lower Mainland.
Defying the Creative Norm is a great networking event. It provides students and industry professionals with the opportunity to meet face to face at a fun and informational evening that will explore creative marketing practices where the focus is on creative visions and campaigns that help create brand awareness and increase brand leverage.
This is a great opportunity to:
- Expand your network: develop new relationships with marketing students and professionals in a relaxed environment.
- Learn from industry leaders: find out about the careers and latest trends in creative marketing from industry professionals.
- Food and entertainment: enjoy the company of over 250 people at the elegant Buschlen Mowatt Gallery. There will be appetizers, drinks and great music throughout the night!
Defying the Creative Norm
This year's theme revolves around creative marketing. Creative marketing focuses on energy and imagination rather than interruption and persuasion; therefore marketers enjoy the freedom to produce effective promotional services at economical costs with the use of creativity and innovation. This is especially important since marketers and their clients alike are increasingly turning to more cost-effective means of promoting their clients and companies. With such a high level of relevance in the current society, this is an excellent opportunity for SMA to explore.
