Dennis Pang is the founder and Marketing strategist of Popcorn. He has been involved with web development and Internet marketing since 2001. For several years, he freelanced and also worked in-house for several companies, gaining valuable experience in a wide variety of roles including web designer, interactive marketing coordinator, and corporate blog editor. In 2009, he founded Motive8 Media, an interactive marketing agency that provides web development and online marketing solutions for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs). During this time, he was a social media consultant for several Vancouver restaurants. Being an avid food lover or “foodie”, Dennis soon realized that there was a huge unmet demand for social media marketing in the local food and hospitality industry. This prompted him to start Popcorn (founded in 2011), a boutique social media and PR agency serving Vancouver restaurants. He brings a diploma in Advanced Internet Development from Bodwell Internet School, and combines it with a business degree from Capilano University. Dennis is very active in the local business community. In addition to being part of the BCAMA, he also serves on the committee for the local Vancouver chapter of Social Media Club, and is an external advisor for SFU's and UBC's Social Media Network. In his spare time, he enjoys dining out, watching hockey, snowboarding, and killing time on Twitter. |
