Committees

SMA Executives are able to gain relevant marketing experience by participating in various committees.

These committees are created when we’re planning an event. Since each separate event formulates a new committee, there’s lots of opportunity for you to volunteer to coordinate or help out at the event! Keep an eye out on the News page and attend the weekly General Meetings to get involved in an event.

Business Development

Experience the thrill of integrating multiple marketing techniques and channels by joining Business Development in our quest to help local businesses reach their marketing objectives. The “SMA for Hire” program allows BD members to gain practical hands-on experience by working closely with real companies. We will help you attain your goals by holding workshops, providing opportunities for project management and membership, and providing ongoing feedback and mentor-ship. We will also have some fun along the way!

However, CR is not just about external relations – we also offer the practical experiences and knowledge that help mould people into strong business candidates. Through CR, you’ll be given opportunities to network, build your confidence and professionalism, and learn the tricks of surviving in the real world. CR is everything textbooks miss out on teaching you.
